The Education 4 Adaptation Accelerator
Incubating local schools in Ghana into green schools; Getting schools to be climate-ready.
What are we About?
The journey towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (quality education) has been hindered by unforeseen pandemic to harsh climatic impacts, necessitating innovative and groundbreaking solutions to transform our education systems and adapt them to the evolving environment.
Our solution is to green curriculums & schools. We aim to make schools green hubs of education with a current focus on plastics & food systems. We implement a classroom-based approach combined with practical engagement. We have collaborated with #BreakFreeFromPlastic to support the integration of plastic education in Ghana’s education curriculum. Practical activity involves supporting partner schools in eliminating single-use plastics, replacing them with eco-friendly alternatives. We plan to expand the curriculum to include food systems, support school caterers to transform school menus & partner with market women to localize our food education and advocate for better School feeding program for Ghanaian Public schools.
E4AA at a Glance
The Cost of inaction is greater than the cost of action. We know it for climate change. It is, of course, true also for education.

Our Programmes
Our Programmes
Learning 4 Sustainability Engagement (Ghana Plastic Free School Program)
Expanding traditional education curriculum to include a plastic education curriculum with support from #BreakFreeFromPlastics
SchoolFood4Future
Children today are forming lifelong eating habits as we speak but we must take advantage of the window of opportunity that is given during childhood in schools. We expand this educational curriculum to include food education while embarking a journey of a zero food waste strategy designed with local actors ( farmers and market women) .
Digital Dreams
In the era of the digital revolution, access to technology and digital literacy have become essential components of education.
Mobile “Tent-Up” Library project
The project aims to establish mobile libraries by setting up book-filled tents to create accessible and inviting spaces where children and youth can engage with books and educational resources.
